This University based clinical training in implant dentistry are accredited Diploma/Master programs consisting of two routes:
Year I - Academic Specialist in Implant Dentistry2 Semesters – 5 Sessions – 300 hours
The Academic Specialist in Implant Dentistry Program – a one-year intense clinical training program comprising of 2 semesters with six modules. A total of 300 hours of didactic and clinical training will be included in this program and will culminate with a diploma that generally satisfies the requirements of implant privileges and will qualify for the examination for Associate Fellow credentials of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Participants will place and restore 30 implants throughout the two semesters.
The Academic Specialist program is designed to provide dentists with license in any country to come to Bosnia for specialized training in implant dentistry. This programs focus on the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, as well as the comprehensive management of patients requiring implant treatment.
Students in these programs typically undergo a combination of didactic coursework, clinical training, and research activities. They learn about the latest techniques and technologies in implant dentistry, as well as the scientific principles underlying successful implant treatment. The goal is to train dentists to become proficient in all aspects of implant dentistry, including patient assessment, treatment planning, surgical placement, and postoperative care.
Eligibility: Must have a license or eligible to have license in the country they are practicing.
2 Semesters – 3 Sessions – 300 hours
The two-year program is an advanced level training in implant dentistry that has 4 semesters with over 600 hours of clinical and didactic training. Participants will be able to perform intermediate to complex cases in the second year of the training.
The first year curriculum will be follow the Academic Specialist program continuum and it is a pre-requisite for the Master’s program. The second year will be the hands on training for advanced implant procedures on models and patients along with the restorative modules.
Eligibility: Participants must have a dental degree to qualify for this program. A exemption of year one is possible if the candidates have completed a 300 hour continuum through AAID Maxicourses or a one year University based implant program.
Upon completion of the programs, graduates are equipped to provide high-quality implant treatment to their patients, enhance their clinical skills, and advance their careers in implant dentistry. The programs will also prepare students for further specialization or academic roles in the field.
